Quasar is an artistic vehicle which expresses itself through contemporary dance, developing its own diverse and aesthetical proposal.

Founded in 1998 by Vera Bicalho and Henrique Rodovalho, Quasar Cia. de Dança originated from Grupo Energia which was created in Goiânia, Goiás in the beginning of the 80’s.

Based in Central Brazil, Quasar consolidated itself as an independent and professional dance company and achieved a place in the sun on the national and international contemporary dance scene. The unique language developed by the group is an aesthetic reference for researchers throughout the country.

For over almost 20 years the group has been building a trajectory which mixes artistic quality and participation in actions targeting the qualification of professionals and the education of the public.
